Thank you for purchasing the Compaq
27MHz Wireless Combo Optical Mouse.
Your mouse’s advanced RF (Radio
Frequency) technology enables 360°
operation. Its optical sensing technology
creates precise, smooth movement, with no
moving parts to clean or replace. You do not
need to aim at the receiver when using the
mouse. The 5-button design lets you assign
button functions and use your mouse with
other computer accessories. The supplied
driver CD provides customized functions for
operation with Windows.

Keep your previous mouse installed as a
back-up until you finish installation.
Do not use the mouse on a desk made of
glass, mirror, iron, or black velv et. A flat
surface is neces sary or the optical sensor wil
l
not work.
For optimal performance, place the re ceiver
at least 8 inches (20 c entimeters ) away from
other elect rical devices, such as t he
computer, the computer monit or, speakers,
or other ext ernal s torage drives.
For normal transmit dist ance, avoid using this
device on a metal s urface bec ause a large
surface of iron, aluminum, copper or other
metal will be a shielding or gr ound to the
mouse’s RF antenna and receiver.
If your notebook computer has a met al
(contains aluminum or magnes ium) case, the
LCD panel’s metal housing will isolate partia
l
power of the RF signal from the mouse. This
will result in reducing the transmit ting
distance when you connect the rec eiver on
the back of t he LCD panel; howev er, your
mouse should work properly while using it
